A Maine Man Arrested After Being Found Passed Out at the Wheel
Westbrook Police arrested a Windham man on drug charges after finding him passed out behind the wheel of a car.
Who Was Arrested?
Willard Adams, 42, of Windham is charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, violation of conditions of release, and attaching false plates.
A report was made to police on Saturday, May 13th, by a passerby who noticed a man on State Street in Westbrook who appeared to be unconscious at the wheel of a vehicle. When the officers arrived on the scene, the man woke up. During their conversation with Adams, the Officers noticed evidence of drug use and possession in the car and also determined that Adams had several warrants out for his arrest.
What Was Seized in the Search?
He was arrested on those warrants and a search was conducted of both Adams and his vehicle. Seized in that search were:
- 180 grams of fentanyl
- 25 grams of crack cocaine
- 9 grams of methamphetamine
- A loaded 9mm pistol
- $939 in cash
Adams was taken into custody on the above mentioned charges.
