82-Year-Old Presque Isle Man Has Been Missing Since Sept. 27th
A Silver Alert was issued over the weekend for a Presque Isle man who's been missing since Friday.
Missing Maine Man Seemed Confused When He Was Last Seen
Lyman Botting, 82, suffers from dementia. He was last seen at approximately 9:00 Friday morning at the intersection of Houlton and Spragueville Roads in Presque Isle. Witnesses told the police he seemed confused and believed that he was living in a different decade.
82-Year-Old Was Wearing Pajama Pants and a T-Shirt
When last seen, Mr. Botting was wearing black and gray checkered pajama pants and a blue t-shirt with an insignia that looked like stripes. Officials say he didn't have the boots and jacket that he usually wore.
Officials don't believe that he left in a vehicle, but say that he's very familiar with the wooded area surrounding his last location. Searchers worked all weekend trying to locate the elderly man using a tracking K-9. He's originally from Mt. Chase, so police say he may try to go there.
Anyone With Info About the Missing Man's Whereabouts Should Call PIPD
Anyone with information about his whereabouts or who thinks they may have seen Mr. Botting is encouraged to contact the Presque Isle Police Department at 207-764-4476. Officials ask that you call rather than sending messages on Facebook.
