4 People Arrested in Connection with Penobscot County Thefts

Four people are facing charges in connection with a string of thefts from stores around Penobscot County. 

What Led Deputies to the Suspects?

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home on Stoney Ridge in Eddington just before 8:00 on the evening of March 29th for a report of an active burglary. The caller told a Dispatcher with the Penobscot County Communications Center that someone was in their residence and that one of the people present was not supposed to be on the property.

Did Officials Find Any Stolen Goods?

When Deputies responded, they encountered a vehicle that was trying to leave the property, with the four suspects inside. An investigation was launched, during which deputies found over $1,000 worth of stolen items that still had the security and price tags from various stores.

Who Was Arrested?

Four people were arrested in connection with this investigation: 

• Jeremy M. Dunn, 42, transient, charged with burglary, criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property, and violation of a protection order. 
• Kyle M. Thebodeau, 34, transient, charged with burglary, receiving stolen property, and criminal conspiracy. 
• Rosa Pelkey, 39, Sullivan, charged with burglary, receiving stolen property, and possession of a Scheduled W drug. 
• JamiJo Smith, 44, transient, charged with burglary and receiving stolen property. 

All four people were arrested at the scene, at 48 Stoney Ridge in Eddington. Officials have not identified which stores the items were stolen from but say they all seemed to be from retail outlets and none from private residences. Lieutenant James Ellis with the Sheriff's Office says the items were primarily clothes and electronics.
