3 People Face Trafficking Charges After an Auburn Drug Bust
Two people from Massachusetts and one Maine resident are facing drug trafficking charges after a significant drug bust in Auburn.
A Woman and Two Men Were Arrested in the Auburn Drug Search
On April 5, 2024, three people were arrested at a home in Auburn:
- Sabian Walker, 36, of Auburn is charged with 3 counts of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, 3 counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, as well as illegal possession of a firearm by a felon.
- Caprice McAndrew of Hyde Park, Massachusetts is charged with 3 counts of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs and 3 counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs
- Syrus Hampton, 33, of Mattapan, Massachusetts is charged with 3 counts of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, 3 counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, as well as illegal possession of a firearm by a felon.
Bail was set at $25,000 cash for both Walker and McAndrew. No bail was allowed for Hampton due to his lengthy criminal history and current U.S. Federal probation.

Auburn Police Orchestrated the Search of a Home on South Main Street
The arrests were the result of an investigation into drug trafficking in the Auburn Area. Auburn Police executed a search warrant at 102 South Main Street in Auburn at approximately 5:30 on Friday afternoon, April 5th. When law enforcement searched, there were eight people inside the apartment, three of whom now face drug trafficking charges.
A Large Number of Drugs, As Well as a Firearm and Cash, Were Seized
Seized as a result of the search were:
- Approximately 198 grams of cocaine base (also known as crack)
- 91 grams of cocaine hydrochloride (powder cocaine)
- 8.6 grams of fentanyl
- 2 grams of MDMA
- 2 grams of ketamine
- 518 MDMA pills (also known as ecstasy)
- 99 Xanax pills
- 2 firearms
- Ammunition
- Approximately $6,888 in suspected drug proceeds
Officials say they found other evidence of drug trafficking in the residence, as well. Police say that, due to the large quantity of MDMA pills seized in this search, additional charges are likely.
