Woman Killed In Portland Single-Car Crash [UPDATE

Police have released the identity of a woman who was killed this morning when her car struck a pole in Portland.

The Portland Press Herald reports the accident happened at around 2:00 Wednesday morning. The car struck a pole on Commercial Street, near the Casco Bay Bridge. As a result, the street was closed from High Street to the Bridge for several hours. Police say 30-year-old Rachel Schwartz was alone in the car and died at the scene.
