Utility Workers Can Use Online Ballot

Utility workers on the job restoring electricity throughout Maine will have the option to vote today by accessing their ballots online.

Power outages have left tens of thousands of Maine homes and businesses without power on Election Day, and many utility workers have been sent far from their hometowns to help with the restoration efforts.

Governor Paul LePage signed a proclamation this morning declaring a state of emergency that allows these workers to vote using the state website. Voters should log on to Maine dot Gov and search Absentee Ballot where they will see a link for “Utility Workers,” or link directly here.
