I was cruising YouTube this afternoon, and came across a live web feed from the town of Bangor, Michigan. My initial thought was, "Those poor suckers. Right there near the Great Lakes? They must have ten times more snow than us."

Oh man. You can imagine what kind of cursing, swearing, and all-around bad things I had to say when I looked at the screen and saw nothing but clear roads, easily moving cars, and blue skies. It's been a long time since I've had that kind of primal jealousy where I simultaneously wanted to throw my monitor out the window, and burn my house down while I moved someplace warm.

These folks in our Michigan sister city have no idea how good they have it today. And now they're saying more snow for next week?! Ugh. Someone get me outta here. I'm just gonna cry uncle and hide in my basement til the sun comes out again. In July.

In the meantime, go ahead and watch some of their live-cam mockery of our current state of affairs in the better Bangor. I must warn you, though. We are not responsible if your weather rage makes you want to take a sledgehammer to your computer. Just take a deep breath, and remember that soon enough, it'll be summer. Somewhere else.
