Local musicians will gather in Old Town today to help out a musician's brother whose wife died of cancer.

We're getting a rainy start to the day so, if you're looking for some indoor fun today, this is just right! The 'Music For Mark and Diane' benefit will be held at the Old Town Elks today from 1 til 6 p.m.

Music will be provided by 5 Wheel Drive, Kristi Buchanan and Shaun Yazbek, The Ryan Carter Band, The Prairie Dogs, and the Ian Black Band, and more. That's a lot of great music in one place! There will also be auction items up for bid, including gift certificates, lobsters, tarot readings, and a lot more. And, of course, there will be plenty of food!

Proceeds from the day will benefit Mark Buchanan, brother to Kristi. Mark's soulmate for over 25 years was Diane Knight, who recently passed away of cancer. But that end came at the end of 5 rounds with the disease. The loss of the love of his life is only part of the story, however, Now Mark is dealing with medical bills that are threatening to take everything, including his home. These local musicians invite you to join them for a day of music and fun to help ease Mark's burden. What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday.
