The target date is June 23. But you know how these things can go.

Like last year with the very delayed opening of the Brewer Municipal Pool due to the fact that necessary repairs had to be made delaying the opening for a couple of months.

So forget about last year and the must-be-fixed-right-away repairs.  This is a new year.

But isn’t it the law of nature? An air conditioner never breaks in the winter.  Your furnace doesn’t break down in the summer. And when it is “Hotter than July” is when the public pool needs to be repaired.  That’s life.

Keep your hopes up for June 23, and for not too many scorching hot and humid days before then. It's only a matter of 10 more sleeps.

June 23rd is a popular date for swimming pools.  That is also the expected opening day at the Bangor pools.
