Bangor Historic Stop for Kenny Chesney!

Bangor was the subject of a blog on Kenny Chesney's website today. Something historic happened last night during that show and it proved how laid back and fun-loving Mainers can be at Darling's Waterfront Pavilion!

The blog talks about how "Madonna does it... Gaga does it... Beyonce does it...But Kenny Chesney? Almost two decades on the road, the 4-time Country Music Entertainer of the Year and 4 consecutive Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year has never done a costume change... Until Bangor, Maine."

Kenny says he was spurred on by the boisterous crowd, who kept telling him he was overdressed. He finally asked the crowd what they thought, and then made a quick exit to his tour bus.

When he emerged, Chesney was wearing swim trunks, a t-shirt, and a Red Sox cap. To add another element to the casual atmosphere, Kenny did the rest of the show barefoot!

It will probably be a while before Kenny does another costume change since he plans to take a break from touring.

Obviously, he enjoyed his brief stay in Bangor. Kenny said the crowd was so great, he would've played til 1 o'clock, if not for the curfew on the show.
