Police say a woman who was kidnapped and held against her will in Fryeburg was able to call for help by using social media.

Police say the 18-year-old victim met 29-year-old Andrew Connelly on a dating site. They say Connelly brought the woman to his Main Street home, where he held her against her will and raped her.

CBS 13 reports the woman had no cell service but was able to reach out to a friend using social media through a WiFi connection. The friend called 911 and Connelly was arrested.

He's charged with felony kidnapping and gross sexual assault and is being held without bail in the Oxford County Jail.
