Wiscasset Biker Accused of Pulling a Gun in a Road Rage Incident
A Wiscasset man is facing charges after a road rage incident in which he allegedly pulled a gun on another driver.
Police say a motorcycle being driven by 23-year-old Hunter Proctor of Wiscasset was traveling north on Proctor Road, when an oncoming vehicle allegedly came over into his lane. Proctor reversed direction and caught up to the vehicle, allegedly pointing a handgun at the two people in the vehicle.
WGME-TV reports that the driver pulled into the Wiscasset Clipper Mart, followed by the motorcycle. Proctor pulled the handgun from his waistband and allegedly pointed it, a second time, at the driver and passenger before taking off. He was pulled over sometime later by a police officer and taken into custody. Proctor is charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and operating under the influence and is currently being held at Two Bridges Regional Jail.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information pertinent to the case is asked to contact Wiscasset Police at 882-8203.
