OHI Maine is holding an online auction fundraiser with some amazing items up for bid, including two tickets to a Boston Celtics game.

What is OHI Maine?

If you've never heard of OHI Maine, let me tell you that it's a wonderful organization that's doing some amazing work. They help people with intellectual disabilities and mental illness achieve their life goals and improve their lives. This involves a variety of programs and services, including teaching folks how to cook on their own and helping them find appropriate housing situations.

OHI is a Maine-based, private nonprofit organization that's been in business for 41 years. They serve six counties, providing 24-hour residential services and a variety of community services so that their clients can live independent, productive lives. Two of the business you may not realize are owned by OHI are the Brewer Area Food Pantry and the Eagle's Nest Clubhouse, which is a peer-based mental health recovery program on Main Street in Ellsworth.
