Subway Restaurant in Westbrook is the latest business to fall victim to a week-long spree of burglaries, so police have released a surveillance video in hopes of catching the crook.

Since March 20th, seven businesses in the Greater Portland area have been hit by armed robbers. In each case, a man with a similar description has displayed a handgun and demanded cash. No one has been hurt, so far, and police are encouraging residents to cooperate if they're behind the register when the suspect shows up. They advise getting as accurate a description of the individual as possible, and then calling police immediately after he leaves. That appears to be exactly what the clerk in this instance did.

The Westbrook Subway was hit Tuesday night, and police have released the surveillance video in hopes that someone will recognize the suspect. Anyone with information is urged to contact Westbrook Police at (207) 854-0644. Anonymous tips can be left at (207) 591-8117.

This is an ongoing collaborative investigation with the Westbrook, Portland, Falmouth, and Cumberland Police Departments.
