I caught a cool video of the Lifeflight helicopter landing on the roof of the hospital yesterday, while standing on the observation deck of the Thomas Hill Standpipe.

I've seen some great views from the Standpipe in the past, but this was one I hadn't seen before. When I saw the helicopter starting to descend toward the hospital, I grabbed my camera and started shooting video. It was a good test for the new lens I recently purchased for my Canon t5 Rebel camera.

The only downside was that it was a windy day on the Standpipe and so the video is quite shaky in places. A tripod would have helped, but then I would have had to carry it up over those 100 steps. I saw the television reporter who did that and it didn't look appealing. And, the truth is, I don't have one. Maybe I should put it on my Christmas list! Dear Santa.....
