Vandals attacked Mantle Lake Park in Presque Isle over the weekend, causing an estimated $5,000-$10,000 in damage, police sad.

Park-goers on Sunday morning discovered the damage, including a kitchen in the park's pavilion that was destroyed and graffiti with racial slurs, Nazi swastikas and drug symbols, reports the Bangor Daily News.

The individuals responsible for the damage have been identified by police, according to a post on the Presque Isle Police Department's Facebook page. The post said police will not release the names of the suspects because they are minors.

By noon on Sunday, volunteers had already cleaned up much of the graffiti at the park.

Police are expected to release new information soon, including charges for the suspects and whether any of them are connected to previous acts of vandalism at Mantle Lake Park and Riverside Park.
