Two Bodies Pulled From Separate Maine Waterways
Police are investigating two unrelated cases in which bodies were discovered over the weekend on Maine's waterways.
WABI-TV reports a man's body was found in Port Clyde Harbor on Saturday morning. 56-year-old John Crane IV was found near the Port Clyde Fisherman's Co-op. His body was pulled from the water just before 6:30 by some Good Samaritans who were unable to resuscitate him. An autopsy will be conducted to determine whether Crane drowned or whether he suffered a medical issue.
In an unrelated case, Auburn Police say a body was discovered floating in the pond known as 'The Basin.' So far, police haven't offered any details about the person's identity or whether foul play is suspected, however police are being assisted by the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit.
We'll update these stories as more details become available.
