Here's a unique dining experience, that's VERY Maine.

The colder months are here, and Maine restaurants are getting creative in serving customers outside amid COVID restrictions. Batson River Brewing & Distilling is offering an outdoor dining experience like none other. Their Kennebunk tasting room has debut Batson Fish Shacks.

Each of their heated shacks can seat up to six people, and feature Maine inspired décor. The shacks are clearly a hit with dinners, as the restaurant strongly encourages folks to make a reservation to ensure one is available. Each shack remains vacant for 15 minutes in between seatings to air out, spray disinfectant, and wipe down all surfaces and high touch areas.

Batson River Brewing & Distilling has three locations in Maine, Portland, Biddeford and Kennebunk. The Kennebunk location is the only tasting room with the fish shacks.

In Bangor, Timber Kitchen & Bar debut their "dining domes" back in November. The restaurant has four heated domes which can seat up to seven people. Each are decked out in buffalo plaid.
