I know we've had some hints so far...

We've had a few really nice days this spring. Heck, we even had our first 60+ day in February. So it seems in some ways, Mother Nature has thrown us the occasional bone. While summer heat will eventually take hold, a lot of us are always looking for that first hint of real summer weather.

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but there even seems to be the possibility that we may even get into the 80's on Thursday.

We all want to have that first series of days where we know we can ditch our jackets, start wearing shorts with no fear, and enjoy our faces being hurt from squinting in the blazing sun, as opposed to bitter wind chills blowing our heads off. There isn't always a ton of great news weather-wise in Maine, so we have to take it where we can get it.

Next week is looking amazing.

I was lying in bed this morning, and I happened to peek ahead to next week at the weather app on my phone. The Weather Channel was predicting several days of 70+ degree weather starting Wednesday. I also cross-referenced it with the National Weather Service, which supported this idea.

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but there even seems to be the possibility that we may even get into the 80s on Thursday. It seems crazy when the high temps lately have only been in the 50s and 60s. But summer has to kick in at some point, right?

Now don't worry. It's Maine. We will see every temperature variation possible in the coming weeks. Until mid-July, you can't really count on solid summer temps around here. But as far as getting a little taste right now, I'll take it.
