Strong Thunderstorms Possible For Bangor Area Monday

Forecasters are warning of strong thunderstorms Monday afternoon.

The National Weather Service is warning of the possibility of rumbles of thunder Monday afternoon. The NWS Storm Prediction Center has placed much of Maine in a "Marginal Risk" for severe weather. The main threat from these storms will be gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall.

Brighter weather is in the forecast mid-week. Tuesday and Wednesday feature mostly sunny skies and temps near 80 degrees.
