Maine State Police say one man is dead and another injured after an incident in Standish.

One Man is Dead and Another Injured After Standish, Maine Incident

The names of the two men involved in this case have not been released.

Just before 9:30 pm on Tuesday, Deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of an altercation on Kennie Drive in Standish.

Maine Medical Examiner  to Determine Standish Man's Cause of Death

When they arrived, deputies found a deceased adult male at the residence. A second adult male was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Details of the altercation, including whether the two men knew each other, have not been released, at this time.

The deceased man was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.
