
4 People Face Charges in 2 Separate Maine Drug Busts
In one of two recent drug busts, a Maine man fleeing the police hit a cruiser with his scooter.
Skowhegan, Maine, Police Seize Fentanyl, Meth, and Coke During a Traffic Stop
In Skowhegan, three people were arrested after a traffic stop on Waterville Road on Sunday afternoon. The suspects' names have not been released.
Skowhegan Police say the following items were seized:
- 25.49 grams of fentanyl
- 28.67 grams of methamphetamine
- 52.59 grams of cocaine
- $1,021 in cash
Officials also seized a BB gun.

This incident remains under investigation.
Portland, Maine, Alleged Home Invasion Results in 1 Arrest on Multiple Charges
In a separate case, Portland Police have charged a man in connection with an alleged armed home invasion on Sunday afternoon.
Devon Dwyer, 34, of Falmouth, faces the following charges:
- Assault
- Reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon
- Burglary
- Refusing to submit to arrest or detention
- Criminal mischief
- Unlawful possession of methamphetamine
- Aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs
- Violating conditions of release
Officials say Dwyer was wearing ballistic plates under his clothing and had a handgun and a fixed-blade knife when he was arrested.

Among the items seized in this investigation were approximately 91 grams of fentanyl.
Portland, Maine, Police Apprehend a Suspect Who Hit Their Cruiser With His Scooter
Dwyer is accused of kicking in the front door of a residence on Munjoy South Street on Sunday afternoon, threatening the occupant with a firearm, and then allegedly
It was just before 1 pm on Sunday when Portland Police were called to 64 Munjoy South Street for a report of an individual who had allegedly kicked in the front door of a residence, threatened the occupant with a firearm, and then allegedly struck them with the weapon before fleeing the scene.
At approximately 3:40 pm, the suspect was seen riding an electric scooter in the Silver Street area. A brief chase ensued until Dwyer crashed his scooter into a police cruiser at the intersection of Spring and High Streets in Portland.
He was taken to Maine Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries before being transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
