Sometimes Getting Up Early in Maine Has Its Advantages

Late spring, early summer is my favorite time to work early mornings, because I get to see a light show that many others miss.

It's just a fact of life when you work a morning show that, most of the year, you're driving to work in the dark. My commute starts around 5 a.m. and so I've become very adept at spotting deer in the pre-dawn light and, so far (knock wood) avoiding them.  And I see a lot of deer.
