Snow Expected for Bangor, Downeast; Winter Storm Warning Issued

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for much of Maine, with 6-to-8 inches of snow expected for the Bangor area on Saturday.

The snow, which will be heavy at times, started in the Bangor area around 5 a.m. Saturday. The winter storm warning will be in effect until 7 p.m. Saturday.

Higher accumulations are expected in northern interior areas. Lesser amounts are expected along the Downeast coast.
