Snow Expected For Bangor + Downeast Areas Overnight Into Friday
Parts of snow starved Maine will get a round of snow to cap off the work week.
The National Weather Service is calling for snow overnight Thursday into Friday. While the snowfall won't be from a blockbuster storm for the Bangor area, Downeast areas may pick up near half a foot of new snow. Forecasters are calling for 2-3 inches of snow in the Bangor area, with 4-6 inches for the Bar Harbor area.
Snow is expected to fall steadier later in the day Thursday, through the overnight hours, into Friday morning. A gusty wind Friday will produce patchy blowing snow Downeast.
Looking ahead, the weekend is expected for feature seasonably cold temps, before slowly rebounding next week. The NWS is watching a storm that may bring significant snow to the state, possibly early to middle next week. The timing and snow totals remain uncertain so far.
