A prostitution sting in Oxford County resulted in the arrests of six men, from five different counties across Maine.

The following people were charged with soliciting prostitution as part of the sting at an Oxford County hotel:

  • Jared Jordan, 22, of Raymond
  • Peter Callahan, 36, of Augusta
  • Tony Foglia, 39, of Saco
  • Daniel Rennie, 41, of Waterford
  • Dennis Fournier, 59, of Oxford
  • Scott Delano, 54, of Friendship

All six men were taken to the Oxford County Jail and then released on $500 unsecured bail.

The Sun Journal reports the men made arrangements for the sexual encounters through a website set up by law enforcement. They were arrested once they showed up at the designated hotel. The name of the hotel is being withheld.

The sting was set up by several Maine law enforcement agencies, the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI Human Trafficking Task Force. Soliciting a Prostitute is a Class E crime, punishable by up to six months in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.
