Self storage spaces are like the "new" coffee shop.

Everywhere you look around the Bangor area right now, it seems someone is building a new self-storage facility. Just think how many there are right in the area of the mall. Heck, there's two on Stillwater Avenue, less than a mile from each other. And everywhere you look, there are more.

Out in the country, here in the city, everywhere. But, as you may or may have not noticed, trying to actually secure a space for storing your stuff is hard to come by. Most places, all their sizable rooms have been taken. Sure, you can find ample 5x5 rooms around, but most folks need a large area to keep all their things.

Self-storage is becoming quite the sought after commodity.

I stood in line at U-Haul recently, needing to purchase a mattress bag. As I waited in line, the very patient gentleman behind the counter was trying desperately to help these folks find suitable storage for their needs. He had almost nothing, and ended up having to rent them space a few towns away. That's how tight the market is for storage.

So, I figured it made sense to try and help people by putting a lot of these spots all in one place, so folks could try and speed up the process. I'm sure there are a ton we missed, because there's all kinds of mom and pop spaces out in the country as well. Some may not have websites or Facebook pages, or even much of an online presence.

But just the same, good luck in your search, and hopefully this will help someone out...

Try one of these options. Hopefully you find what you need...
