I Want to See a Moose in Maine
I have been here for 7 months now, and I have yet to see a moose! Ok, that isn't true. I have yet to see a moose ... alive. That sounds morbid, but it was also very delicious.
Where are the moose? I have driven many highways and roads that say watch out for moose. I've seen several photographs of moose in areas where I had recently explored. But zero moose sightings. At this point, I will drive anywhere in Maine if the location increases my odds in seeing one of these elusive, magnificent creatures.
Moose can weigh up to 1800 pounds, and at shoulder height have been discovered to be up to 6'5" tall. They are MASSIVE and you would think, easy to spot.
