ROAD TRIP WORTHY: New Hampshire Ice Castle Set To Open Around New Year

Over an acre of frozen winter wonderland will open for the season soon.

The New Hampshire Ice Castle is set to open for the season around New Year's Day, according to NECN. The New Hampshire Ice Castle is located at 24 Clark Farm Road in North Woodstock. The location is just a few miles from its former location at the Hobo Railroad in Lincoln.

This year's castle features massive turrets, archways, tunnels, ice slides and fountains that are lit with colored LED lights frozen into the ice. Visitors can also purchase tickets for a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the winter village. A new attraction this year is an enchanted forest walk.

An official opening date is expected to be announced soon.
