Princeton Man is Dead after a Washington County Crash
A Princeton man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Washington County.
Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss says State Police were called to the scene on Main Street in Princeton just after 5:30 Saturday evening. When Troopers arrived, they found 59-year-old Peter Leighton deceased.

An initial investigation indicates that Leighton's Ford F-150 was traveling in the southbound lane when he crossed the centerline and went off the road, striking a tree. Police say it appears Leighton may have suffered a medical event prior to the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
Assisting Maine State Police at the scene were the Indian Township Police Department, Indian Township Fire/Rescue, Princeton Fire Department, Baileyville Fire Departmetn, and Bohann's Towing.
