Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who may have set fire to a Benton Self-Storage facility.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the State Fire Marshal's Office has released surveillance images of the man who they believe may have set fire to the R&D Self Storage facility on the Neck Road Monday night. The flames in the back of the building were spotted by a passerby, who stopped and put the fire out before firefighters arrived at around 10 p.m. There was no damage to any of the storage locker contents.

Fire investigators say images from a surveillance camera show the man, who was wearing a Dale Earnhardt jacket and a ski mask. Investigators say a flammable liquid was used to start the fire and the man may have suffered minor burns as a result. McCausland released a picture of the type of jacket the suspect was wearing, in hopes that someone will recognize it.
