State Police are investigating after a woman, who had just started serving a sentence for two OUI arrests, was found dead at York County Jail.

Sheriff William King told WABI-TV that Kimberly Pierce of Waldoboro died early Tuesday morning in the intake area of the jail. The 35-year-old had been admitted to the jail the night before, and was found dead in her cell. Pierce was just starting a 60-day sentence for two charges of operating under the influence, driving to endanger, operating beyond license restrictions, and violating conditions of release. Officials say she was not considered to be a suicide risk.

Corrections officials are reviewing surveillance video and records of when inmates were checked on during the night. So far, there's no word on how she died.
