Police Investigating Suspicious Death In Cherryfield [UPDATE]

State Police are in Cherryfield after the discovery of a woman's body on the side of the road.

Police say they are treating the death as a homicide. The woman's body was discovered lying next to Route 193 in Cherryfield at about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.

In a afternoon news conference, Maine State Police Lt. Troy Gardner said police were working to identify the woman.

He said police have identified a black Chevy Impala believed to be connected to the woman's death.
