Plane Makes Emergency Landing Into Passadumkeag River
A pilot wasn't hurt when he made an emergency landing in the Passadumkeag River.
WABI-TV reports the Maine man said that his engine seized up while he was in midair. The pilot said he had to glide for several minutes with no working propellers, while he tried to find a safe place to land. He finally felt he had no choice but to land the small plane in the Passadumkeag River. The pilot walked away uninjured, and no one on the ground was hurt.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
