Should Penobscot Narrows Have A Suicide Net Like The Golden Gate? [POLL]

I was reading today about how they are putting in a net under the Golden Gate Bridge in California. Now, granted, their problem is greater than our is with the Penobscot Narrows. Last year alone, 39 people successfully ended their lives jumping from the Golden Gate and police stopped another 184. The Penobscot Narrows Bridge has been the site of at least seven suicides since its opening in 2011.

The net proposed for the Golden Gate is constructed of stainless steel wire and will run the length of the bridge under the sidewalk area. The cost of the nets is said to come in just over $200 million. Now I know that is a lot but what is a life worth? And or if that was not an option would the person just find another way?

It still it begs the question: Should we consider something of that sort for the Penobscot Narrows Bridge? At one point they were talking about a suicide prevention fence in 2014, but the bill was rejected. So now that more people have died should we reconsider some kind of safety precaution as well?
