
Maine Police Investigate Palermo Murder, Victim’s Dog is at Large
Maine State Police are investigating the murder of a man in Palermo and are looking for his Golden Retriever dog.
Police Say the Palermo Murder Victim Was Found Outside a Home
Robert Bruso, 56, of Palermo was found deceased outside a home at 128 Boots and Saddle Road.
It was approximately 10:30 a.m. on April 19th, when Maine State Police conducted a welfare check on Mr. Bruso at his home and discovered him on the property.
An Autopsy Determined the Palermo Man Was Murdered
Detectives were called in and determined the cause of death was suspicious. As the investigation continued, Bruso's body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Auugsta where an autopsy was conducted.
The manner of death has been ruled a homicide. The police have not released the cause of death but say there's no known danger to the public.
Maine State Police Are Looking for the Victim's Golden Retriever
Officials say Mr. Bruso owned a golden retriever named Lenny, who has not been located. Anyone with Information about Lenny's location or who may have seen a golden retriever in the area of Route 3 near Boots and Saddle Road and/or Level Hill Road in Palermo is asked to contact the Augusta Regional Communications Center at 207-624-7076.
