One person was killed and two others injured in a single-car crash in Thomaston.

WABI-TV reports the accident happened last night on Route 131. A passenger, 21-year-old Zachary Elwell of St. George died at the scene after being ejected from the vehicle. The driver, 19-year-old Kelsey Campbell of South Thomaston and another passenger, 19-year-old Austin Jurkowski of St. George, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Witnesses told the Knox County Sheriff's deputies that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and passing a vehicle when the driver lost control. The car went off the road and struck some trees before rolling over several times.

Police believe alcohol may have also been  a factor in the accident.
