An Old Town man is dead following a single-vehicle crash Friday morning on I-95 in Bangor.

Anthony Monroe, Sr., 39, of Old Town was traveling south on the interstate when he struck a guardrail near the Exit 185 off-ramp. His vehicle then traveled across the road and struck the concrete barrier in the median. Monroe was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crews responded to the crash just after 3:30 Friday morning, near the Broadway exit of I-95 in Bangor, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Shannon Moss.

The Maine State Police were assisted by the Bangor Police Department and the Bangor Fire Department.
