Police Identify Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Vehicle In Old Town [UPDATE]

Old Town Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed Thursday evening.

The accident happened just before 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Stillwater Avenue and the Bennoch Road.

The operator, a 54-year-old  Eric Gifford of Bradley was driving a truck with a plow on it  He was on Bennoch Road at the light turning left onto Stillwater Ave.

As Gifford was turning onto Stillwater Avenue, 24-year-old Dylan Cooper of Old Town was crossing the street was struck by the truck. Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene.
