No exact closing date was announced for the Shrewsbury location.
The closure would leave three Hooters restaurants in New England, all in Massachusetts, with locations in Saugus, West Springfield, and Dedham.
The announcement comes as Hooters says it is working to make its restaurants more welcoming to families, couples, and everyday diners.
CEO Neil Kiefer said the brand had drifted too far from its original beach bar concept, and the company has started bringing back older uniform styles as part of a broader image reset.

And there you have it! The Hooters location in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, has announced that it will be permanently closing.
