National Weather Service Predicts Warmer Winter For Maine
The National Weather Service on Thursday released its winter outlook, predicting a warmer than normal winter for Maine and New England.
The outlook also calls for average precipitation in our area. The prediction also calls for the drought to end in eastern and coastal Maine.
Officials at the National Weather Service remind people that, despite the forecast, they should be prepared for cold conditions.
The outlook will be updated on Nov. 16. For a more detailed forecast, watch the video below with Mike Halpert, who gives a really good explanation of what's in store.
The Old Farmer's Almanac also predicted a milder winter for the region.
