Maine group, The Mallett Brothers Band, will treat fans to a new album this summer.

We have another reason to love the Fourth of July. The Mallett Brothers Band will release their latest album Gold Light, July 4. The record is already available for pre-order on CD or 12" vinyl. The record is Maine through and through. It was recorded at the band's studio in Portland, mixed by Portland producer Jonathan Wyman, and mastered by Padraic Keane.

Maine artist, Morgan Cameron, is responsible for the album cover. She said on her Instagram, "They’re from my hometown and they’re turned into a very well know band and a Maine treasure and the fact they’d even know my art, let alone wanna use it for something so important... I can’t express the swell of joy I felt when they reached out about this."

Gold Light is the Mallett Brothers Band latest studio album since their 2018 record, Vive L'acadie!. In 2019 the band released Live In Portland, Maine, which features 12 popular tracks from the band's extensive catalog. The album has extra sentimental value, as it was recorded at Port City Music Hall in Portland. Back in July 2020 the venue closed their doors permanently, unable to survive COVID-19 shutdowns.
