A Maine women is one of two people facing charges for the overdose death of someone in New Hamshire.

Maine Woman is One of Two Arrested for a Woman's Death by Overdose

The two women facing charges for the December 11, 2025 death are Christina Babb, 51, of Fryeburg, Maine, and Patricia Baranski, 47, Conway, New Hampshire.

Both women were charged with sale of a controlled drug resulting in death after Amanda Parsons, 39, was found unresponsive at the Hitching Post motel in North Conway.

An examination of Ms. Parsons' body by the New Hampshire Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that she died of the combined acute toxic effects of cocaine, methadone, and fentanyl.

Police determined that the drugs were likely delivered to Ms. Parsons on December 11, 2025, and that her death was caused by their use.

New Hampshire Overdose Death Suspects Arrested on Felony Warrants

WMTW-TV reports both suspects were arrested on special felony-level warrants.

Baranski was arrested Tuesday at the Carroll County Department of Corrections, where she was being held without bail for other drug-related charges.

Babb was arrested Wednesday at a home in Fryeburg. She's being held in Maine, pending extradition to New Hampshire.
