Maine Man Electrocuted Operating Crane In Vermont

A man from Maine was killed when he was electrocuted while operating a crane on a Vermont job site.

WCSH-TV reports David Sprague of Windham died in the accident that happened at around 11 o'clock Tuesday morning. He was operating a crane at a construction site in Searsburg, Vermont when the crane struck a high tension power line. The 59-year-old was electrocuted and pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy is planned to confirm cause of death. Crews from Green Mountain Power were called in to secure the area.
