Grab your friends (or family) and head down to Friendship, Maine this weekend to celebrate the 41st Friendship Day! The weekend kicks off Friday at 5pm and culminates on Saturday with a day FILLED with free activities and concludes Sunday this year with a popular annual race. To top things off, the forecast for this weekend couldn't be more gorgeous.

The weekend's celebrations benefit the Ambulance Services for Friendship Residents & other Non-Profit services in Friendship, Maine. All donations and purchases must be paid with cash or check.

All Friendships Should Begin with Maine Pie

The 41st Annual Friendship Day begins Friday at 5pm with a pie competition. YUM! Everyone can grab a slice of pie for a cash donation. There is also a silent auction taking place that begins at 4pm. Winners will be announced at 7pm and people can pay with cash and take their prizes home that evening.

Saturday is FULL of Fun Events for Friendship Day in Maine

Saturday begins with a 7am pancake breakfast for you to carb up before the races that take place later in the morning. There is a 1-mile "Short Haul" race and a 5k "Long Haul." You can preregister here or day of for an increased cash donation.

The rest of the day has several events including the fire department serving up lobster rolls, a pet show, craft fair, parade, cornhole tournament, and so much more. See all of the Saturday festivities taking place here.

Friendship Day in Maine Concludes Sunday with a Popular Annual Race

Friendship Lobster Boat Races are on Sunday, July 21, in the Friendship Harbor. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and for spectators, races start at 10 a.m. Food and apparel will be for sale at the Town Landing, Town Landing Road, and Wallace Lobster Wharf, 196 Harbor Road. The Friendship Lobster Boat Races directly support the Friendship Memorial Scholarship Fund.
