Last Monday afternoon around 2 PM, Mostafa Elfaham and his wife Bethany were driving along in their car, having just dropped off a client's newly detailed vehicle in Brewer. The pair were headed back to their Maine Ride Detailing shop in Bangor, when something caught their eye, at the corner of Eastern Avenue and State Street in Brewer!

"We were on our way back to our shop from dropping off a customer vehicle in Brewer, and noticed there was some roadkill in the middle of the road. We slowed down so we could go around it, and the eagle swooped down and grabbed it. So originally we figured it would grab it and fly off, so we didn’t start recording right away. Then when I realized it was struggling, I started the recording. The eagle dragged the roadkill off to the side of the road and that’s when we drove off!"

Bethany was driving, while Mostafa caught the unbelievable encounter on his cell phone camera.

"At first, we were shocked to see an eagle swooped down that close to us. And then even more shocked to see that it was doing the work of nature right there grabbing the roadkill to try to eat it!!!"

They put their video up on Facebook to share it with their friends. The video then got shared to the Maine Wildlife Page, where it's been viewed thousands of times and shared several hundred times.

Seems folks can't get enough of this up-close-and-personal look at Nature in progress.

Thanks for sharing it with us, Mo!
