Boston, Massachusetts, Christmas Tree Spotted at Hermon, Maine Restaurant
Maine is part of that tradition, since the journey from Nova Scotia to Boston includes a long drive through our state, and this year, it included a stop at Dysart's Truck Stop in Hermon, early Monday morning.

Ceremony in Nova Scotia, Where the Boston Christmas Tree is Harvested
Harvesting the tree is a big event, including a smudging ceremony, this year provided by Holly Meuse of L'sitkuk First Nation in Bear River, to bless the tree.
Students from Bluenose Academy in Lunenburg were in attendance and received saplings from the Department of Natural Resources.
Even Boston Mayor Michelle Wu was there to contribute to the cutting of the tree.
Once it was done, the majestic spruce was loaded onto a flatbed and sent on its way.
I'm sure for the midnight diners and coffee drinkers who were at Dysart's Truck Stop, the tree was a welcome sign of holiday cheer.
