Now that the High School Basketball regional tournament is behind us and the State tournament is coming up, there is more basketball on the horizon this weekend too.

University of Maine women’s basketball team is playing.

In case your focus was on the High Schoolers, UMaine women had their 12th win in a row to finish their regular season.

And now it is on to the Women’s Basketball America East Quarterfinals. And all the postseason games for this tourney will be held in Orono. The Pit inside Memorial Gymnasium.

The Black Bears will open the postseason play with quarterfinal action this Saturday. Tip-off is at 1 p.m.

And unlike last year when here is what the crowd looked like,

This Saturday you can be there. (Like I was last year. Sort of)

Season ticket holders have until March 2nd, at 4 p.m. to pick up there tickets.

Limited courtside seats will be available for $26. General Admission tickets are $13.

Students will get free admission subject to availability on Saturday.

Top seed. Excellent. We’re behind The Black Bear women 100% and expect great things, starting this weekend.
