Luke Combs Crushes Cover Of ‘Tennessee Whiskey’
Luke Combs will be in Bangor Friday night. His set is likely going to include some great country covers. While this tune may not be included, it's worth a pre-show watch.
When in Tennessee, sing about the smooth nectar of the state. Luke Combs performed at the 'Mother Church' the Ryman Auditorium many times over the past year. Way back in February 2018, this gem was recorded by a tone deaf concert goer. Okay, maybe it wasn't the person recording the video, but someone nearby definitely enjoyed too much of said Tennessee whiskey.
Showing off his incredible vocals Luke Combs absolutely nails this cover of 'Tennessee Whiskey.'
The song was originally sung by David Allen Coe on his 1981 album by the same name. It was George Jones who furthered the song in 1983 to a #2 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. The song's popularity was expanded again in 2015, when it became a standout track on Chris Stapleton's Traveler album.
Combs is bringing his second headlining trek, the Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour to the Cross Insurance Center Friday night. The show sold out in two days.
