Local Woman Dies After Livermore Falls Motorcycle Crash

A local woman died after her motorcycle struck a utility pole Morning morning in Livermore Falls.

The victim was identified as Breanne Hewins, 40, of Jay, police said Monday.

The woman lost control of her bike on Main Street and struck a telephone pole around 8:30 a.m.

Her motorcycle split in half upon impact and fell onto the railroad tracks below, according to WGME.

Police said Hewins, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but police believe speed was a factor.
